Nathan Salomon Weinberger
In case any of you didn't know already, Tammie and I were expecting. Well, on Tuesday at 2:41pm [the exact same time that Matthew was born] Nathan Salomon Weinberger was born. He was almost born in the hallway, but since everyone wants to see pictures, I will put those first and then tell the story at the end.
7lbs 14oz, and 20 inches.
Here is the one of the first pics of Nathan, he is about 5 minutes old at this point. Two hands, 10 fingers, and lots of blond hair like his brother.

He is now about 8 minutes old. You can't see in this pic, but he is actually looking at the nurse, and trying to get a date. "Hi, I am new in town..." and "Why yes, I was born yesterday" are the lines he tried.

The next two pics are probably the last time for the next 3 years that both the boys will be sleeping at the same time. But these pics bode well for them being best friends in the future.

And this last pic is more like how things will be for a while, one boy sleeping, and one about to run off.

So in case you got past the pics, here is a short version of the story. I was at work and got a call from Tammie at 1:15 that her water might have broken. She was going to call the doctor to see if she should go in. They said sure, so Tammie's mom, who was luckily visiting, drove her to the doctor's office, which was attached to the hospital. We both got there at 2pm, by which time contractions had started. The doctor saw Tammie at 2:15 and said that the baby would be here in about an hour, and gave Tammie the choice of getting a ride or walking across the hospital. Of course she picked the walk. The contractions got worse as we got close to the maternity wing. Luckily the doctor's office had called ahead, so they had 9 people getting the room ready. We got checked in at 2:31. The doctor got there 8 minutes later, and then at 2:41 Nathan was born. The doctor said that this was the first time in 16 years of practicing that she did not get a chance to switch into scrubs.
But everyone is healthy, and Nathan is adorable. We will continue to add more pics, so stay tuned.
